Part of the fun of collecting these BP Smurf Lost Village toys is that they came in themed blind bags so it was impossible to know what you were getting. Collectors with double ups could swap them via the BP's Facebook page or purchase them on auction sites like Trademe.
The BP Smurf toys collection is made up of 16 collectible character toys. King Smurf is gold (gold paint that is). The set also includes non-Smurfs figures such as the evil wizard Gargamel, his cat Azrael and glow-in-the-dark rabbit Bucky.
The BP Smurf 2017 mini figures are really small standing at only 3-4 cms high. They have a suction cup as a base allowing them to attach to metal surfaces.
This Smurf set is a cut down version of a set of 24 Smurf figures that were promoted by Dutch supermarket chain 'Plus'. The full set of 16 in this Smurf collection includes the following toys:
- Papa Smurf
- Farmer
- Brainy
- Hefty
- Clumsy
- Greedy
- Vanity
- Handy
- Hearty
- Grouchy
- Jokey
- Bucky (bunny)
- Gargamel (wizard)
- Azrael (cat)
- Snappy (ladybird)
Also available for purchase during the promotion at NZ $3.99 was a collector album to house the 16 Smurfs in the collection. The album fastens by a small velcro spot.
On the inside of the collector box is a game for 3-4 players called "Find the Lost Village". A single dice is included.

These Smurfs are a cute set and a nice addition to any Smurf collection. You can still pick up an complete album in good condition for around NZ $15 to $20. Before buying just check that all Smurfs are in the folder and that it contains the dice as this is often lost.
