McDonalds Barbie happy meal toys 2019 were promoted at McDonalds restaurants in Australia and New Zealand in March 2019 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Barbie toys You Can Be Anything. The promotion also included McDonalds Hot Wheels Happy Meal toys. There are four toys per set which is a pity as Barbie and Hot Wheels sets released in other countries had a larger complement of toys.

McDonalds Secret Life of Pets 2 happy meal toys were a giveaway at McDonalds restaurants globally and released in Australia and New Zealand during June 2019. The set is made up of 12 different character-themed toys from the Secret Life of Pets 2 movie. Although a couple of the toys are very similar to the 2016 promotion the two releases are quite different and should not be confused.

McDonalds Books Diary of a Wimpy Kid Happy Readers 2019

McDonalds Diary of a Wimpy Kid Books were promoted in happy meals at McDonalds restaurants in Australia and New Zealand in August 2019. These are the same books that were promoted in the UK in 2016. There are 8 different small happy readers in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series by bestselling author Jeff Kinney to collect.

McDonalds Happy Meal Readers Roald Dahl Books 2019 Australia and New Zealand

In January 2019 McDonalds released a set of Roald Dahl books in happy meals in Australia and New Zealand for kids to enjoy instead of the regular toy that comes with every happy meal sold. The set of happy meal books was limited to six books in New Zealand while Australia had two additional Roald Dahl books. The Roald Dahl book promotion was part of McDonalds happy meal readers project designed to encourage children to read.

The McDonalds promotion of Roald Dahl books was popular with children and parents alike. Some 800,000 books were given away in New Zealand over the six weeks of the promotion.

There were six Roald Dahl books to collect in the McDonalds New Zealand promotion.  Each book is a cut down version of the original from a book by Roald Dahl and illustrations by Quentin Blake.  Every book also contained stickers and fun activities.

The McDonalds happy reader promotion of the Dahl books appears to be a replica to the 2018 promotion in the UK only with fewer titles being offered in New Zealand while Australia got a complement of eight books.  The McDonalds UK and McDonalds Australia release had two extra titles: Rotsome Giant and Mischievous Chocolate Factory Children.

As if the books weren't enough McDonalds went a step further offering a nice collector box at the cost of $2 to house the Roald Dahl books in the Australian promotion of eight books.

McDonalds Hasbro Gaming happy meal toys 2019 were promoted by McDonalds restaurants throughout Australia and New Zealand in December 2019 and ran into January 2020. Many countries around the world had the Hasbro Games promotion in January and February 2020 such as the Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia.

McDonalds Teen Titans Toys 2019

McDonalds Teen Titans toys 2019 were on promotion at McDonalds globally at participating McDonalds restaurants around the world including Australia, New Zealand, UK, USA, Canada, Europe, Latin America and South-East Asia. The number of Teen Titans Go happy meal toys included in this set varied in some countries but most got the full complement of 12 DC TTG themed toys.

The 2019 TTG toys in happy meal toys at McDonalds are hard plastic except the Flying Raven which has a plush head. All toys feature DC Teen Titans characters from the animated TV show Teen Titans Go! that began airing on Netflix in 2018.

Although there were variations in the line up from country to country (see below for collector notes) the most common Teen Titans McDonalds toys 2019 appeared in the Australia and New Zealand set which included the following 12 superheroes toys:

• Robin Bo Staff Flyer
  Attach red wheel to his head and wind up. Release flying spinning disc with button at back of his head.


• Starfire Energy Bolt Shooter
  Starfire figure. Purple outfit and long red hair. Green missile can be fired by pushing button on the back of her head. Comes with two cardboard targets.


• Beast Boy Dynamic Discs
  Green head and hair. Black boots. Pink suit. Grey gloves. Arms outstretched. Comes with 4 Beast Boy themed plastic discs and 2 cardboard targets. Load discs into his mouth and shoot by pushing button on the back of his head.





• Cyborg Hand Cannon
  Pistol shaped. Insert teal blue cannon ball into cannon and push button to fire.


• Cyborg Head Popper
  Mostly grey figure. Push red button on his chest to see his head pop off.


• Flying Raven
  Detachable purple base and purple outfit including a purple cape. Plush head. Glides when thrown and can knock down objects.


• Raven Dance Generator
  Purple toy with picture of Raven on the front. Click the button to reveal various pictures of Raven in the viewer at the back.





• Raven Juggling Balls
  2 balls that bounce. One purple and one red. Can be used to skittle objects.


• Robin Batarang Launcher
  Red launcher with R on it. Insert black bat shaped missile and release with green button to see it go flying.

The set the McDonalds DC Teen Titans Go toys was released in September 2019 and comprised the full set of 12 toys as listed above.

United Kingdom
Had a dedicated themed happy meal box that went along with the promotion of DC TTG toys in a promotion that ran from 3 April to 14 May 2019. The Starfire Jetstream (Starfire Starbolt Launcher) toy was replaced with a Cyborg Shake toy instead. The Cyborg Shake can be clipped onto a belt and plays TTG music when turned on.

Another variation was the inclusion of a red Robin Batwing Birdarang toy which when thrown spins and can knock over objects. Other toys in the set were: Robin Bo Staff Flyer, Beast Boy Flying Discs, Cyborg Head Popper, Starfire Starbolt Launcher, Flying Raven, Raven Juggling Balls.
