McDonalds, New Zealand current happy meal toy promotion is Ice Age 3 Dawn of the Dinosaurs. This toy release is yet another global campaign by McDonalds and is part of a movie tie-in deal.

The New Zealand and Australian toy release includes 8 key characters from the movie. The toys are similar to their US counterparts but there are small differences mainly the green leaf on the side of the toy. When the leaf is rubbed with a fore finger a couple of times it reveals a hidden icon. It is a shame that none of the toys in the New Zealand and Australian version talk as in the North American release (Manny, Sid and Buck speak).

Manny (Flick a switch on Manny's back to see his head move side to side) differs from North American toy release where Manny says, "Whoa!" and "You know I can hear with these things")

Diego (Push down on his hind legs for pouncing action)

Mamma Dino (Her head rotates for different facial expressions)

Buck (Buck wears a leafy sash. His head rotates 360 degrees, and all his arms and legs move) differs from North American release where his right arm activates the thumbs up and he yells out "Nobody Move!")



Scrat (Push the button to launch an acorn)

Sid (Throws a bundle in the air and catches it) differs from North American release which has Sid saying "Way to go Momzilla!" and "Everybody loves Sid!" activated by arm movement)



Rudy (Move his arm for jaw chomping action)

Scrat (Press down on the acorn to see it hide and reappear)
