McDonalds Green Lantern and Squinkies Happy Meal Toys 2012

McDonalds Green Lantern and Squinkies happy meal toys were promoted at McDonalds restaurants in Australia and New Zealand during December 2012 as a tie-in with the Green Lantern animated series. The happy meal Green Lantern themed toys were aimed at boys while the Squinkies theme was oriented to girls. One Green Lantern or Squinkies happy meal toy was available with each happy meal sold.

McDonalds Green Lantern Happy Meal Toys

The Australia and New Zealand McDonalds Green Lantern happy meal toys promotion for 2012 is made up of 8 plastic toys featuring Green Lantern characters and gadgets from the animated series. The #greenlantern happy meal figures have some articulation particularly in the arms although Grapplin' Kilowog's head swivels too. The finish is ok on these toys but don't expect too much they are fast food toys after all.

The McDonalds Green Lantern set is compromised of the following toys:

McDonalds Squinkies Happy Meal Toys

The release of the McDonalds Squinkies happy meal toys in 2012 included 16 toys in the set. The #squinkies toys are divided into four distinct themes: pets, ocean, zoo and fantasy. Each McDonalds Squinkies toy comes with its own colour coded capsule to make identification easier: purple for pets, green for zoo, blue for ocean and pink for fantasy.

The following McDonalds Squinkies toys were included in the promotion:

• Polar Bear, Lion, Monkey, Elephant (zoo theme)


• Mermaid, Fish, Seahorse, Crab (ocean theme)


• Unicorn, fairy, dragon, pegasus (fantasy theme)


• Kitty, puppy, bunny, frog (purple theme)

In December 2012 McDonalds promoted Green Lantern Animated Series themed happy meal toys for boys and Squinkies toys for girls throughout McDonalds restaurants in Australia and New Zealand.
