Caltex Interchangeables 1998 All Blacks Figures Rugby Eggs

Caltex All Blacks Interchangeables Rugby Figures were available from Caltex gas stations in New Zealand in 1998 as a premium with petrol purchases. The Caltex promotion was a limited edition collector series and an officially licensed product of the NZRFU (New Zealand Rugby Football Union).

The Caltex All Blacks figures were sold at Caltex stations for $2.95 each with every $20 petrol purchase. Today on the collector's market you can expect to pay at least NZ $10-15 for a sealed figure and up to NZ $5 each for loose figures in good condition. The Jonah Lomu figure is likely to carry a premium due to his popularity and success on the rugby field.

If you have got these figures for sale make sure that the right head is on the right body as these are interchangeable. Check the jersey number listed above as a guide. The best place to buy and sell these figures MIP or preloved would be on auction sites like Trademe and eBay. New Zealand rugby fans living in Australia or abroad are a potential collector market.

Rugby figures were a popular sports collectible with New Zealanders in the 1990's. In 1995 Caltex promoted a large set of All Black figures called "Small Blacks" in celebration of the Rugby World Cup. Corinthian Headliners New Zealand All Blacks Rugby Figures were a 1996-1997 rugby collectible standing on a green base that could be bought at toy stores at relatively low cost.

Mobil gas stations got in on the act too in 2007 when they offered All Blacks figures standing on faux grass. More recently Countdown promoted a set of 30 All Blacks Micro-Figures in 2015 which were popular with kids and collectors alike.

It has been some years now since we have had a promotion of All Blacks Rugby Figures so it is long overdue. If you would like to learn more about previous food, drink, and petrol promotions and giveaways featuring the All Blacks click the button below.
