2021 has been a really great year for McDonalds happy meal toys promotions in Australia and New Zealand. There have been some really memorable toy promotions this year with toys inspired by TV shows and movies including Spongebob, DC Superheroes, Mr Men and Little Miss, Minions, Tom and Jerry and Sing 2. On top of that McDonalds put out a fantastic set of Pokemon cards and stickers to celebrate the 25 year anniversary of Pokemon.

McDonalds The Tiny Detectives Happy Meal Readers 2021-2022 Australia and New Zealand

McDonalds restaurants in Australia and New Zealand have added an exclusive book series, The Tiny Detectives by Cressida Cowell to their range of McDonalds Happy Meal Readers in March 2021. The Happy Meal Readers are hardback and build to a set of 12 books with two books being released every 4-8 weeks over the course of the year and will end in 2022. The first two readers available are entitled: Can Trees Talk? and Do Fish Glow in the Dark?

McDonalds Treetop Twins Wilderness Adventures Books Happy Meal Readers 2020

The McDonalds Treetop Twins Wilderness Adventure books written by Cressida Cowell renowned for How to Train Your Dragon will be available from 6 February 2020 throughout Australia and New Zealand.  

The first two books in a limited edition of the Treetops Twins Wilderness Adventure series of 12 books will be given out as a substitute for a happy meal toy if desired with further titles being released throughout 2020. McDonalds have confirmed that a happy meal reader will be a permanent substitute for a happy meal toy from now on.
