McDonalds The Tiny Detectives Happy Meal Readers 2021-2022 Australia and New Zealand

McDonalds restaurants in Australia and New Zealand have added an exclusive book series, The Tiny Detectives by Cressida Cowell to their range of McDonalds Happy Meal Readers in March 2021. The Happy Meal Readers are hardback and build to a set of 12 books with two books being released every 4-8 weeks over the course of the year and will end in 2022. The first two readers available are entitled: Can Trees Talk? and Do Fish Glow in the Dark?

Happy Meal Readers have become popular since McDonalds made the decision to offer books as an alternative to happy meal toys. This is the second set of happy meal readers by Cressida Cowell that McDonalds have offered. In 2020 a range of 12 hardback books made up the Cressida Cowell McDonalds Treetop Twins Adventures happy meal reader series which featured two sets of twins and their parents.

The concept of this range of the Tiny Detective books is to spark curiosity by answering some curious question like what lies at the bottom of the ocean. To aid parents to engage kids with the readers there are some reading tips provided and each book comes with an activity sheet. The McDonalds Tiny Detectives happy meal readers are also available at McDonalds restaurants in Singapore, Malaysia and possibly other parts of Asia too.

• Book 3 - Do Spiders Have Pets? (yellow)


• Book 4 - Do Koalas have Fingerprints? (light blue)


• Book 5 - Why Do Stars Twinkle? (dark blue)


• Book 6 - Can Animals Walk on Water? (light green)


• Book 7 - Is the Middle of the Earth Hot? (dark blue)


• Book 8 - Why is the Sky Blue? (aqua blue)


• Book 9 - Can Wolves See in the Dark? (white)


• Book 10 - Can it Snow in the Desert? (purple)


• Book 11 - Is there Life at the Bottom of the Deepest Ocean? (dark purple)


• Book 12 - Can Butterflies Taste With Their Feet? (yellow)
