Standard Player Cards

The 31 standard All Black player cards in the set each depict a portrait shot of a player in action on the front of the card. Also featured on the card is the player's attack and defense rating and the year of the card sits under the player image. Other vital information appearing on the card front includes player stats: player name, position played, test caps, test points, player weight and date of test debut.

A special rating attack and defense rating has been alloted to each player. The attack rating appears in green above the picture of the player while the defense rating is in the bottom right-hand corner and is highlighted in red.

The reverse of the cards is grey with a darker grey border. The Sanitarium Weet-bix logo and the All Black Power Plays logo are both positioned in the centre.

Legend Cards

The set also comprises 7 silver-coloured legend cards featuring All Blacks who are now retired from the game but have made a significant contribution to New Zealand rugby. The players honoured in the 2009 card series are: Christian Cullen, Sir Wilson Whineray, Zinzan Brooke, John Kirwan, Frank Bunce, Sean Fitzpatrick, and Robin Brooke.

The legend cards are almost entirely monochromatic grey apart from red hightlighting to stats and attack rating. Like the standard cards the attack rating is in green across the top.

Other Special Cards (Power-Ups, Power-Downs, Rules Card)

In addition to the 38 player cards already mentioned there are 9 power up cards (green) and 6 power down cards (red).

The Power-Up cards which are green mostly feature rugby grounds and, as you would expect, playing one of these gives a boost. The green Power-Down cards relate to fouls such as hands in the ruck or offside and have the opposite effect.
