Little People, Big Dreams McDonalds Happy Meal Toys 2022-2023
These days McDonalds offer customers the option of a McDonalds Happy Reader or a McDonalds Happy Meal toy. The Happy Reader global promotion of Little People, BIG DREAMS books aimed at promoting reading around the world offers a good alternative to a paper toy that will likely be chucked in the bin on leaving the restaurant.
The Little People, BIG DREAMS series are versions of the best-selling biography series for kids created by Maria Isabel Sánchez Vegara. The happy readers are a small size perfect for kids but pack a lot in the pages. Each book features the story of 2-3 innovative and inspiring people who have made a difference in the world. The books are in a variety of languages depending on country.
On the McDonalds website it is possible to download coloring and activity sheets with a Little People, Big Dreams theme. Also by scanning the QR code inside each book extended digital resources and fun interactivity can be unlocked.
Australia and New Zealand
These books have been given away in happy meals since September 2022 at the rate of one new book a month. Released in the McDonalds Little People Big Dreams "I Can" series to date in Australia and New Zealand are:

- I Can Be an Imaginative Creator
Features: Hans Christian Andersen, Louise Bourgeois and Ada Lovelace.
- I Can Be a Talented Musician
Features: Aretha Franklin, Sir Elton John
- I Can Be an Awesome Performer
Features: Ella Fitzgerald, Josephine Baker
- I Can Be a Sports Hero

The distribution of the first happy reader in the Little People, BIG DREAMS series began in Singapore on 20 September 2022. Since then a new book in the series of 12 happy readers has been distributed each month. Malaysia
McDonalds have yet to release the Little People Big Dreams books in Malay but seeing they had the McDonalds Tiny Detectives books in the past they can't be far away.Philippines
There are three Little People Big Dreams readers available in English in the Philippines: Curious Scientist, Sports Champion and Brave Adventurer until the end of March 2023. Customers can choose any title with their happy meal order.USA
To my knowledge McDonalds have not distributed the Little People, Big Dreams book series in the US. The most recent book series was the Harper Collins books available in February 2023.Canada
The "I Can" books in the Little People Big Dreams range are currently being distributed in Canada. As at 12 December 2022 the following books were on offer but I still need to clarify if Curious Scientist and Sports Champion were promoted there:

UK and Ireland
This Little People, Big Dreams books have only recently come on promotion in the UK and Ireland. I believe the early volumes in the set like Curious Scientist, Sports Champion, Brave Adventurer having already finished.Europe
The promotion of Little People, BIG DREAMS books is well underway in Europe. Depending on country the happy meal readers are available in different languages including Spanish, Portuguese, German, Italian, French to name a few.Portugal

Alongside Warner Bros happy meal toys, Little People, Big Dream are an alternative premium in Colombia currently. The series de Cajita Feliz Libros distributed to date includes: científico curioso (curious scientist), triunfar en el deporte (sports champion), valiente aventurero (brave adventurer).To date McDonalds Argentina have distributed 8 books in the series.
