Weet-Bix Cards 2019 All Blacks Stat Attack Rugby

Weet-bix Cards featuring the All Blacks Stat Attack game were distributed in Weetbix cereal boxes throughout New Zealand by breakfast food giant Sanitarium from 19 August 2019 and were available until 15 September 2019. Sanitarium brought back the All Blacks Stat Attack game with these rugby cards and a whole new generation of Kiwi kids got on board with the concept.

The last time All Blacks Stat Attack Weetbix cards were given away was with the original Stat Attack 2007 series and the Stat Attack II cards in 2008.

In 2019 three Weetbix Stat Attack cards came in the 750 gms Weetbix box while the 1.2 kgs box had 4 cards. In practice this wasn't always the case. There were reports on social media of people complaining that there were fewer cards than stated in the cereal packs and even some omissions altogether. Thankfully Sanitatrium provided a call free number that could be phoned for customer support.

The cards are similar to the Weet-Bix Stat Attack 2021 and Weet-Bix Stat Attack 2022 cards with the only real difference aesthetically speaking being the styling of each series.

The cards have a matt finish and are nicely styled in blue with a hint of red highlighting. They measure approximately 65mm x 100mm.

Stat Attack Card Game

The Stat Attack rugby cards are not only collectible they also offer collectors a playable card game which has been resurrected from the original Stat Attack game of 2007. The game play involves going head-to-head based on the player statistics displayed on each card. The rules of the game are printed on the Weet-Bix cereal boxes sold for the period of the promotion and also on the Stat Attack Rules card.

Collectible Weet-Bix Stat Attack Tin 2019

A collector tin to keep the Stat Attack rugby cards in was an optional extra that could be purchased separately from the specially marked Weet-Bix cereal packs. The tin, an offically licensed All Blacks product sold out in most places within the first week largely due to flippers looking to make a quick buck on Trademe. The tins are blue and are emblazened with Stat Attack on the front and Weetbix on the lid. They are metal and came in clear plastic without any clear way to identify the year apart from the actual design on the front.

Cardboard Weet-Bix Stat Attack 2019 Box

As part of the promotion Sanitarium Weet-Bix also issued flat cardboard Stat Attack card boxes that came in Weet-Bix packets. The boxes feature the same Stat Attack styling as appears on the promotional Weet-Bix boxes and are useful for storing the cards.

Official Starter Pack 2019

At the start of the promotion was a limited supply of Weet-Bix Official Starter Packs for the 2019 Stat Attack Cards. Inside was a cardboard Stat Attack case and some selected Stat Attack cards.
