Collectors Note
In most countries of the world the McDonalds How to Train Your Dragon 2 happy meal toys consist of a set of 8 toys although there are a few countries that have 10 dragon toys. While there are some regional variations amongst Asian countries eg Singapore and the Philippines, the line up of toys was pretty similar to the Australasian set except that the Australasian release has the Stormfly toy instead of the Bewilderbeast toy (white dragon that fires a blue missile). Disappointingly the USA release did not have dragon figures at all but rather a set of character themed flying discs.
These McDonalds How to Train Your Dragon 2 toys are a set of plastic character-themed dragon figures that can be easily displayed. Most of the dragons have detachable wings which unfortunately are easily lost. There is nothing too unique in the featured action of the toys and for my money the pick of the bunch are: Cloudjumper which comes with a launcher and Zippleback (aka Belch and Barf) that is a two headed dragon whose heads turn 360 when it is rolled along.
The McDonalds How to Train Your Dragon 2 happy meal toys 2014 included in this Australia and New Zealand promotion are:
- Terrible Terror - lime green dragon with ridged back and orange wings.
Comes with blue handle which attaches to the win. Spins the dragon around while holding the handle.
- Hookfang - red upright dragon with yellow belly.
Push and go toy. Push the head down. Tail rotates. Wings are detachable.
- Toothless - black dragon with red highlight on tail.
Wings are detachable. Press button on the back to make the wings flap.
- Stormfly - blue dragon with yellow stripe on back, yellow wings, long tail, horn on nose.

Summary
8 McDonalds How to Train Your Dragon 2 happy meal toys were released in 2014 in Australia and New Zealand. The set is very similar to the release in many Asian countries except that Stormfly has been exchanged in favour of Bewilderbeast. These How to Train Your Dragon 2 toys are vastly different to the USA release that has flying discs rather than dragon figures.#mcdonaldstoys #happymealtoys
