Collectors Note
The Australia and New Zealand release of the Pokemon Black and White happy meal toys is a cut down version of the 8 toy set released in the USA and Canada in June 2011. The happy meal toys omitted were Pikachu, Zoroark and Zorua. Another significant difference is that USA and Canada paired the Pokemon happy meal toys with Liv fashion dolls instead of the Zoobles! as in Australia, New Zealand, South American countries and Mexico.
Pokemon Black and White Toys
The release of the McDonalds Pokemon Black and White happy meal toys marked a first for McDonalds as previous Nintendo Pokemon toy promotion deals had been at Burger King restaurants rather than McDonalds. However with the Pokemon Black and White animated series running on the Cartoon Network and the release of the Pokemon Black and White video games and the Pokemon Black and White Trading Card Game earlier in 2011 Nintendo obviously decided to step up its marketing campaign a notch in giving McDonalds the license. The McDonalds Pokemon Black and White toys in the 2011 promotion are worth having in your McDonalds toy collection. They are hard plastic and can be displayed to good effect. Also worth noting is that each toy came with one of 12 foil Pokemon Black and White TCG cards based around 3 characters: Snivy, Tepig and Oshawott which can be bought for a reasonable price on Ebay if you missed out.
Included in the McDonalds Pokemon Black and White 2011 promotion were the following McDonalds happy meal toys:
- Reshiram - white/cream. Head rotates 360 degrees. Part of arms removable. Legs and tail move. Wings flap. Poseable.
- Oshawott - white head, blue ears and feet, teal blue body. Bobblehead toy.
- Snivy - green and yellow. Push and roll toy. Head moves up and down.

The toys are spring loaded and on press of a button pop open to reveal the rest of the toy in the same way Bakugan toys do. - Penny - penguin. Blue.
- Pandama - panda. Purple and pink.
